Firefighters Battle Early-Morning Blaze In Philadelphia

First responders in Philadelphia spent hours extinguishing a blaze at a restaurant on the city's west side on Wednesday, Sept. 6, according to authorities.

PFD was called to the Italian Kitchen Pizzeria, 2035 N 63rd St. in Overbrook, around 5:20 a.m., the department said on Twitter.

Photos from the scene appeared to show smoke and flames rising from the rear of the building. Officials said it took more than 65 firefighters about three hours to get the blaze under control.

No injuries were reported by authorities.
